Our Programs

From malaria nets to GBV referrals — Jipange is organized for action at every level of community health in Bomet County.

WHAT WE DO IN THE FIELD

Four Programs. Delivered by 500+ CHVs. Every Day.

Every Jipange program is designed for the grassroots — run by Community Health Volunteers who live and work in the same communities they serve. No health office. No distance. Just a CHV at your door.

PROGRAM 1

Malaria Control

Malaria is Jipange core mandate. Bomet County sits in a highland region where malaria is endemic. Our CHVs are the frontline response — reaching households before symptoms become crises.

40,000+

Households reached through malaria education and ITN promotion campaigns

RDT Testing

CHVs conduct rapid diagnostic tests at the household level — no waiting, no travel

Active Case Finding

CHV-led household visits and community screenings to identify TB cases early

Treatment Support

Patient follow-up and adherence counselling to ensure every confirmed case completes treatment

PROGRAM 2

Tuberculosis Detection and Support

TB is a silent killer in Bomet. Many cases go undetected for months, with communities unaware of symptoms or reluctant to seek care due to stigma. Jipange CHVs go directly to communities to find and support TB cases.

PROGRAM 3

HIV Prevention, Testing and Care

HIV remains a significant challenge in Bomet County. Jipange CHVs work at the community level to expand HIV testing, reduce stigma, support people living with HIV, and ensure no one falls out of care.

PLHIV Support

Regular sessions providing counselling, peer support, and ART adherence guidance

Stigma Reduction

Targeted campaigns for men and youth to reduce HIV-related stigma across Bomet communities

Community Barazas

Open forums on GBV, FGM, and survivor rights bringing awareness to every ward

Survivor Linkage

Direct connection for survivors to GBV centres, police desks, and legal support services

PROGRAM 4

Human Rights and Gender-Based Violence

GBV and FGM are persistent challenges in Bomet County. Jipange trains CHVs and community elders to identify, safely refer, and support survivors — while running advocacy campaigns that challenge harmful norms.
