A registered community-based organization fighting malaria, TB, HIV, and gender-based violence in Bomet County, Kenya.
Jipange is Swahili for organize yourself. It is a call to readiness, self-reliance, and collective action. The name captures our core belief: that communities, when equipped with knowledge, skills, and peer support, have the power to protect themselves from disease and injustice.
We do not wait for communities to come to health facilities. We go to the community. We jipange — we organize, we prepare, we act.
To reduce malaria in Bomet County by empowering communities with knowledge, promoting early diagnosis and treatment, and supporting preventive measures through Community Health Volunteers and local partnerships — while also addressing HIV, tuberculosis, and gender-based violence in the same communities.
A malaria- and TB-free Bomet County where every household is protected, every case is detected early, and every community member has access to the health information and services they need to thrive.
Jipange does not wait for communities to seek care. Our trained CHVs go door-to-door, convene public barazas, and deliver hands-on health services where people live and work.
Trained CHVs visit every household to screen for malaria, TB, and HIV risk.
Public forums bringing communities together for health education and disease awareness.
CHVs conduct Rapid Diagnostic Tests for malaria in the field — faster diagnosis, faster treatment.
Support group sessions for PLHIV and GBV survivors provide counselling, peer support, and care linkage.
Jipange is governed by a community-elected board ensuring accountability, transparency, and community ownership of all programs and decisions.
Jipange Community Network is registered with Social Services in Kenya, ensuring all activities meet legal and operational standards for community-based organizations.
We welcome partnerships with health organizations, donors, and community leaders who share our vision of a malaria-free Bomet County.
